Gowers bike race
This year’s First British Heart Foundation Gower Bike Ride in Wales had been postponed on the 1st of July, due to the erratic weather
conditions experienced over the past few months. So the racers from Audio Excellence, Swansea and PMC had a wait until the 8th of July to help raise money and awareness for The British Heart Foundation.
UK Sales Manger Tom Barron joined the Audio Excellence-Swansea crew in Wales for the challenging bike ride across the Welsh coast,
creating a new team of ‘teashop stoppers”(BHF Somerset 06”).
1250 people tested their pedal power along the stunning coastline of the Gower Peninsular, the two routes 29miles and 16miles offered
different distances for all abilities beginning at St Helens ground, Swansea. The event was a grand success raising money for the fight
against heart disease. This is just one of many events organized by
the BHF. See their website for future events:www.bhf.org.uk

Rough Trade changes the music retail tune with PMC and Cornflake
PMC have supplied 5 pairs of their stylish wafer2™ and 1 pair of wafer1™’s strategically placed around the 5000 square-foot mega store Rough Trade; with a pair of IB1’s, renowned in the professional music industry, placed above the 30ft long counter to top off this brand new store with the globally recognized name.
Since Rough Trade’s opening in 1976, it has succeeded in catering for all musical tastes and seeing the ‘oh so” famous bands of today start off, from Sonic Youth to Lily Allen. Rough Trade East big brother to the Portobello road store and replacing the Covent Garden shop has now been born at one of the hardest times in music retail history. Not only will Rough Trade's new store be 10 times the size of its existing outlets but it will aim to change the way that music is sold to the public.
PMC with their strong background in the professional audio sector of worlds leading music and film sound recording, broadcast companies and audio mastering facilities now joins Rough Trade East offering a service unique to the music retail world and supplying the ultimate in high quality audio to all their astute customers.
All the PMC equipment was installed by the experts at The Cornflake Shop, PMC’s long established Central London Dealer, local to Rough Trade.
So the manufacturer, the installer and retail outlet all join together in supplying the public’s appetite for music in true and contemporary fashion.
“The store located off Brick Lane in east London offers a new look to music retail by featuring a stage with a proper sound system; a snug area with free wireless connection and the store's speaker system will be an audiophile's dream. Sonically this will be the best store ever," says Stephen Godfroy, Director of Rough Trade.

The store launches 25th of July, and then more officially the week after.
Come listen to the music as it was intended to be heard.
